The Hush Puppies Boat Shoe
Boat Shoes: When you’re on your feet all day then your deck shoes need to be comfy and hardwearing. We find these Hush Puppies tick the boxes for our needs. We’ve tried Sebago Docksiders and although they do last, they are not the most comfortable of deck shoe and I find they harden when they dry after getting wet.
The Hush Puppies don’t’ out perform the Sebago’s but for the price they are for me better value for money.
Helly Hansen Midlayer Jacket.
This jacket is ideal for boating. It wont protect you from big green waves crashing over the bow or a squally shower. However it is a nice lightweight jacket that will keep the chill factor from a stiff breeze at bay and give you ample protection from a bit of sea spray or a light shower. If you do get caught out in a deluge this jacket will wring out and dry in a stiff breeze in no time.
The KeepSa Beach Hat
These lightweight hats are foldable for when you want to tuck them away, they are breathable and keep the sun off and the rain at bay and the wind wont blow it off of your head if you have the adjustable chin strap in place. I find them easy to stow when not in use and handy to just pop on your head when the sun starts to beat down.
